Criminal Justice and Criminology
I am an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with Adjunct Professor appointment in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department. I authored of over 50 journal articles, academic book chapters and technical reports focused on health and best practices in regards to gender issues, domestic violence and community correctional practices. My recent publications have focused on the gendered effects of domestic violence. Her current grants focus on trauma-informed care for youth and increasing skills for formerly incarcerated adults. I teach Gender, Race and Justice, Foundations to CJC and Internship courses.

- Gender and community correctional research related to the health and best practices within crime and victimization
